Zibrim Biosama is a seasoned banker and development consultant with over 17 years of distinguished experience in Ghana and abroad. Zibrim currently serves as the Technical Assistant Project Manager (Access to Finance and Financial Institution Industry Building) on the FIRST+II program. His core competencies include due diligence, project management focused on the transformation and turnaround of financial institutions, credit and credit risk management (MSME), loan portfolio and NPL/recovery management, credit analysis, and capacity building.

Before joining CapitalPlus Exchange FIRST+I Program as a Senior Banker (MSME/Ag. Finance) in Ghana, he worked as a Senior Analyst, conducting credit reviews of corporate and SME credit guarantee applications from participating financial institutions for the Ghana Covid-19 Alleviation and Revitalization of Enterprise Support program.

He has held various banking roles in Ghana, concentrating on the prevention, mitigation, and reduction of a bank’s credit risk. His experience includes supervising multiple credit functions, ranging from Senior Credit Analyst to Head of the Credit Analysis Unit and Deputy Head of Credit Risk Management. Internationally, he served as a Principal Banker and Technical Advisor, assisting microfinance institutions and other banks in Tanzania. He was also the Business Development Expert (STE) for GOPA AFC GmbH, under the Ministry of Finance of Ghana, responsible for implementing the KfW Development Bank Ghana – Accompanying Measure Project Reform Partnership.

Zibrim is a highly skilled development expert who has made significant contributions to the development and implementation of innovative credit risk mitigation strategies for banks in Ghana and Tanzania. He is also a turnaround strategist who has successfully led teams during periods of robust portfolio growth and consolidation.
