Gilbert Dotsey is the Director of Finance, Administration, and Operations for the CapitalPlus Exchange Corporation FIRST+ II program. He oversees the finance, administration, MERL, and communication teams.

With over 20 years of experience in financial management, reporting, capacity building, procurement, contract management, investment, and internal controls, Gilbert has worked across various sectors, including impact investing, construction, consulting, pharmaceuticals, and international development. He has successfully coached and mentored staff into senior leadership roles and managed projects with complex financing structures, ensuring compliance with the requirements of private and institutional donors.

Before CapPlus, Gilbert was the Finance Manager for the Africa Growth Fund at Mennonite Economic Development Associates, overseeing its financial reporting. He also served as Country Finance Officer for Right to Play, Ghana, leading the finance team in donor reporting and compliance.

Gilbert is a chartered accountant and holds a master’s degree in development finance.
